PCA(P)(2025)01 - Extension to SSP for Cefalexin 125mg/5ml Oral Suspension
This Circular advises community pharmacy contractors that the Serious Shortage Protocol (SSP) for cefalexin 125mg / 5ml oral suspension sugar free due to expire on 31 January 2025 has been extended until Friday 2 May 2025.

Your next courier collection is scheduled for Thursday, February 20th, 2025. As this is a particularly busy period for community pharmacies, please note the following guidelines for your prescription bag submissions.

Physical Assessment Skills Training Opportunity
Over the last 12 months, NES have been supporting our network of Designated Supervisor’s (DS) to increase their confidence in the use of physical assessment skills and their ability to assess trainee pharmacists utilising these skills in practice.
