Your next courier collection is scheduled for Thursday, February 20th, 2025. As this is a particularly busy period for community pharmacies, please note the following guidelines for your prescription bag submissions.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you will be working within the pharmacy serving the community of Niddrie. This is an exciting and varied role, ranging from giving advice on the sale of medicines to the delivery of all technical aspects of dispensing, whilst ensuring the efficiency of the dispensary operations and processes. Working as part of a dynamic team within the pharmacy, you possess a natural ability to provide friendly and courteous customer service and have excellent communication skills. As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to the consistent delivery of the highest quality pharmaceutical care to the communities we serve.
We are excited to announce an opening for a Manager at our Niddrie Mains Road Pharmacy.

It’s that time of year again when we open up places for our Charity Golf Day! CPS is delighted to be hosting its 11th Annual Charity Golf Day on Friday, 9th May 2025, at the stunning Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort.

In 2024, the Pharmacy in Practice Conference in Edinburgh brought together a tremendous selection of research poster submissions. These posters, submitted from across the profession, showcased the incredible depth and quality of practice within the pharmacy profession. Last year's winner, Laura Karim, will lead a judging panel for this year's submissions.

Our colleagues at NHS Scotland wanted to highlight the 3rd Scottish Postpartum Contraception Conference which is being held in Edinburgh in March. The conference agenda is set to be full of interesting content as well as topics which would be relevant to community pharmacists.
First Minister John Swinney addressed the nation yesterday (27/01/25) to outline plans for NHS reform, pledging to reduce waiting lists, enhance the NHS Pharmacy First Scotland service.

The Scottish Pharmacy Awards will return for 2025 with a real opportunity for the amazing work that is undertaken in Pharmacy across Scotland to be celebrated once again. Pharmacy success should be shouted about far and wide so please get those nominations in for you and your team. Deadline for entries is the 17th February 2025 so don't delay enter today. The awards will take place at the EICC on Saturday 26th April 2025.
Over the last 12 months, NES have been supporting our network of Designated Supervisor’s (DS) to increase their confidence in the use of physical assessment skills and their ability to assess trainee pharmacists utilising these skills in practice. Due to the success of this training NES are running another series of events in the coming months.
